What are they?

The MOCKA BT bass traps (low frequency acoustic absorbers) are specially designed to be mounted into the corners or the edges of rooms, their smooth profile is specially designed to complement the absorption at low-frequencies in acoustic treatments with MOCKA tiles or MOLN panels. They are extremely effective in reducing the low-frequency effects of the room resonant modes, commonly associated with the 'boomy effect' (low-frequency accumulation) that is often heard in untreated rooms.

They are made of fireproof acoustic foam Basotect®, which has a high sound absorption performance, better durability and the best fire-resistance: Class 1. Mocka BT has excellent sound absorption levels in a wide range of frequencies (broadband absorption).

Important!

This Basotect foam bass trap has a Class 1 (BS 476/7) fire resistance (fireproof).
It is a product suitable for installation in public establishments.

What is the application used for?

Specific treatment for controlling and reducing reverberation at low frequency in musical studios and minimising acoustic anomalies in rooms (boomy effect).

Absorption treatment for: control rooms, recording studios, rehearsal rooms, radio / TV studios, home cinema...

What is their format?

  • Corner bass traps of: 300mm x 300mm x 600mm
  • Boxes of:
    • 4 units - Coverage = 2 corners
    • 8 units - Coverage = 4 corners
  • Normal packaging:
    • 62cm x 62cm x 32cm (0.12m3 / 4 Kg.)
    • (x2) 62cm x 62cm x 32cm (0.12m3 / 4 Kg.)

How much do I need?

The following table gives a rough guide of the estimated reverberation time (at 250Hz) depending on the size of the room and the number of Mocka BT bass traps installed.
